We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join our client based in Canterbury.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
• Preparing and producing payroll for a number of clients
• Processing of timesheets
• Processing BACS payments
• Producing and sending payroll documents, eg Payslips, Remittance Advice slips
• Producing payroll reports as and when required
• Cross company invoicing
• General accounts including sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
Experience, Skills and knowledge required:
• Experience of high volume invoicing/billing
• Experience of umbrella or CIS payroll preferred
• Good understanding of manual PAYE and NIC calculations
• Experience of working, ideally, within a recruitment agency (contractor payroll) or payroll bureau
• Strong Excel including Vlookups is essential
• AAT qualification desirable
• Sage Payroll is advantageous
• Good eye for detail and spotting numerical anomalies and errors
• Positive, can-do attitude a must
• Ability to work under pressure
