Our client is a privately owned £30m turnover manufacturing business in need of a finance director to lead their continued expansion. Reporting to the CEO the role will:
- Ensure that there are effective financial and operational structures in place to support the business
- Ensure that the finance function provides accurate and realistic management information and commentary on performance of projects
- Ensure that management information is provided on a timely and accurate basis
- Monitor cash flow and ensure offices adequately manage their cash
- Lead the team to provide statutory information and accounts & manage the year end and audits as required
- Provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring careers are managed, and the team develops
- Manage the relationships with external parties such as banks and other advisors
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with some exposure to the manufacturing sector. This role would suit someone either making a first move into an FD role or someone wishing to make their 2nd move as an FD to a company with ambitious growth plans.
