Our Client based in the Sittingbourne area is looking to recruit a Website Content Officer available to commence work immediately, initially up to the end of August.

The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Job Purpose:
• This is a fixed-term post to assist the Digital Communications Officer develop a new website for the organisation, and deliver the client’s digital and channel shift agenda.
• The role includes supporting the design and build of a new website, creating new content and migrating existing content to a new content management system (Squiz), as well as supporting new digital initiatives that integrate with the website such as new customer digital platform, GovDelivery and Cart Assist.

Applicants will have:
• At least one year website management experience including developing website design, structure and functionality, producing and populating page content, monitoring and analysing site usage and accessibility.
• Demonstrable experience of using content management systems (CMS) and HTML coding for website development and content creation.
• Experience of creating and publishing content and monitoring activity on social media channels.
• Demonstrable experience of mobile/website design, graphic and digital editing and use of the Adobe design suite.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Excellent ICT skills.
• Understanding of what makes a good online customer experience, gained via personal experience or observed in a customer services environment.

• Knowledge of website/ mobile site design and functional trends.
• High standard of written English for writing and editing web content.
• An awareness and understanding of accessibility and W3C standards.
• Relevant training and experience with Google analytics or demonstrable ability to extract and analyse data from software reporting systems.
• Good relationship building skills, with an engaging and outgoing approach to building alliances and partnerships
• Good communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and appropriate way for the online environment.
• An awareness of the law relating to the reporting of events and regarding data protection and privacy, use of images, copyright law, The Communications Act etc.
