Our Client based in the Sittingbourne area is looking to recruit a Digital Communications Officer to lead on the use of digital communications for the client, including the website and social media channels. The client are looking for applicants available to commence immediately, initially up to the end of March.
The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Job Purpose:
In partnership with ICT and CSC, develop and deliver the client’s Digital Communications Strategy, including the implementation of the Social Media Policy.
To lead on the day to day management and development of the client website, social media and other online platforms.
To provide expert communications advice to CSC and other services / council officers and manage the development of digital skills within the communications team as a whole.
Applicants will have:
• At least 2 years communcations and/or digital/ online experience
• Significant technical experience of managing / co-ordinating a large complex website
• Experience of design, graphic and digital editing and use of the Adobe design suite.
• Exerience of analysing information and using research and evidence to underpin communication activities and evaluate success
• Excellent ICT skills; with in depth knowledge of content management systems, HTML, web analytics, eForms and social media, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Research and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and the ability to draw insight and establish clear actions from raw data
• Strong relationship building skills, with an engaging and outgoing approach to building alliances and partnerships
• Strong influencing skills; with experience of negotiating and selling in ideas at all levels of an organisation
• Ability to be forward looking and innovative, generating new ideas for the development of online services.
• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver to tight timescales and at speed
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable way to a variety of audiences
