Print Sales and Finishing Vacancy

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join a small team within an office environment, in a traditional local print company.

The main responsibilities will involve shop sales; dealing with customers on a day to day basis and handling print enquiries together with some artwork preparation and Print Finishing.
Main Duties and Tasks

• Involved in shop sales; dealing with customers on a day to day basis and handling print enquiries
• Proof reading and checking material prior to print
• Preparing projects for print production (litho, digital and wide format digital)
• Undertaking production of digital print projects, garment printing and embroidery, working within a copy shop environment
• Working closely with our in-house production team to achieve and complete projects
• Liaising directly with clients to take accurate briefs on their print requirements
Necessary Skills & Experience
• Must be proficient in working from a PC platform
• Must be practically minded and have previous experience within print and signage industry and/or reprographics
• Must have meticulous attention to detail, excellent proof reading skills and a creative flair
• Must have a methodical approach to checking digital files
• Must be able to balance and prioritise multiple projects, often under pressure and working to tight deadlines
• Must have excellent client facing skills with the ability to manage & build effective client relationships
• Must be able to have flexible working hours to meet deadlines
Advantageous Skills
• A working knowledge of Adobe CS5+, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience in CorelDraw highly advantageous
Hours will involve Monday to Saturday on a full or part-time basis with a salary between £7.50 and £11.00 per hour determined according to experience.
