Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Purpose:
• To ensure manufacturing processes and procedures are being adhered to ensure that the required product quality is achieved by the Value Streams.
• Support the Value Streams to achieve Right First Time Quality and On Time in Full Delivery.

Main Duties:
• Perform shop floor audits to ensure product compliancy and procedures are adhered to.
• Support manufacturing process improvements, problem solving and training initiatives.
• Manage the Control of Nonconforming Products identified in or entering the Value Stream.
• Assist operations to perform new product, process and tooling verifications.
• Define and implement measurement systems for product verifications.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports.
• Setup Inspection Method Sheets.
• Perform internal Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety audits to establish level of compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Report performance metrics monthly or as required.

Direct Reporting to: Value Stream Manager (functional reporting to Quality Manager)

Location: Aylesford, Kent

Travel: None

Special Conditions: Flexibility when required.

Essential Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Technician or similar, in an automotive / aerospace environment operating an ISO9001 Quality Management System as a minimum is mandatory.
• Fully conversant with engineering drawings including GD&T and measurement techniques. A working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential.
• Experience of programming CMMs, Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Plastics / Machining.
• A working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Able to understand dimensional drawing requirements.
• Able to understand geometrical drawings under the metric system.
• Use measuring instruments to maintain quality of produced parts.
• Work with flexibility within a team environment & demonstrate the ability for working on their own initiative.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

• Support the customer in all quality related issues ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
• Provide guidance and support to the Business Development Team assisting them to achieve their objectives through continuous improvement and quality techniques.

Main Duties:
• Managing the Control of Nonconforming Products identified by our customers in accordance with company procedures ensuring that effective and timely containment, correction and prevention measures are deployed to address root cause(s) whilst maintaining communication levels internally and externally.
• Supporting the company in process improvements, problem solving and training initiatives.
• Perform Quality Reviews of customer up issues of drawings and specifications.
• Perform internal Quality, Environmental and H&S Audits to establish level of compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist the Quality Manager in ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Quality, Environmental and H&S Systems.
• Actively participate in 2nd and 3rd party Audits.
• Report performance metrics monthly or as required.
• Support the Quality Team and Business with other duties aligned with this role.

Direct Reporting to: Quality Manager
Location: Aylesford, Kent
Travel: None required
Special Conditions: Flexibility when required.

Essential Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer with experienced gained in automotive / aerospace industries.
• A full understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management System and sufficient applicable knowledge of EN9100, TS16949 and ISO14001.
• Fully conversant with Lean Manufacturing Techniques, RCA, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, Control Plan and SPC.
• Knowledge of machining plastic and metal parts, hand lay-up, compression, transfer and injection moulding.
• Experience of FAI reporting and performing dimensions studies to support internal and external investigations.
• A working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Work with flexibility within a team environment & demonstrate the ability for working on their own initiative.
• Able to understand dimensional drawing requirements.
• Able to understand geometrical drawings under the metric system.
• Use measuring instruments to maintain quality of produced parts.
