Production Engineer

My Client, a Manufacturer of equipment that is vital to a whole host of diverse Industries, is growing their workforce and now looking to recruit a Production Engineer to support production in ensuring that it runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
The Role: Production Engineer
Input into new designs to ensure ease of manufacture and assembly.
Resolution of quality issues
Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs.
Collate and analyse warranty information.
Design of fixtures and tooling, for assembly tasks.
Generate production documentation such as assembly instructions.
Oversee the introduction of new products into production.
Understanding of Lean tools such as Kanban, 5S and value stream mapping.
Experience of value engineering.
Introduce new processes and equipment to reduce cost and save time.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Production Engineer
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Experienced Production Engineer
Have an eye for detail, and excellent problem solving skills.
Experience of electro-mechanical assemblies
Continuous Process Improvement.
Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
An understanding of root cause analysis.
