An exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor, with a large corporate organisation and employer of choice in Ashford.

This established client is offering a favourable basic salary and outstanding benefits to the successful candidate.

Working within an extremely busy professional HR team, this position reports into the HR Manager, to whom you will work really closely and step into the shoes of, whenever necessary.

We are therefore searching for an individual with a minimum of 3 years relevant HR experience including CIPD qualification, with some experience gained in a manufacturing OR other blue collar environment.

We are searching for an individual with gravitas, together with strong influencing skills, who is confident working at this senior level.

The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective generalist HR advice and support service to defined group of Managers and employees, in line with employment legislation, ensuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Additional duties will include, but are not limited to:-

Taking shared responsibility of HR Co-ordinators and or/Administrators
Identification of opportunities to make improvements and achieve best practice
Leadership/participation in approved improvement projects
Raise awareness of Company policies and procedures
Assistant managers with management of attendance issues (including long and short term sickness and disability)
Assist managers in disciplinaries, grievance and investigations
Design and deliver HR training workshops (eg. discrimination, harassment, bullying, performance management, absence management and employment law)
Assist the HR Manager with ad-hoc duties, projects specifically in identifying and driving improvement projects aimed at attracting, maintaining and developing an exceptional team and improving the UK Manufacturing HR function
It would be helpful if the successful individual had some project management experience, including the successful delivery of several HR change projects.

Continuous improvement

Business acumen
The ability to work under pressure
Confidence to build relationships with stakeholders
Flexibility (including a willingness to meet with the night shift teams when deemed necessary)
Exposure to situations of conflict and disagreement that can at times be confrontational and stressful.

Driving licence required. Free parking.
Hours of work: 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
