We are a credit card provider who put our customers at the heart of everything we do and we achieve that through the people we employ. We are specialists in the non-standard credit market, lending responsibly to over 2 million customers, whilst providing information and support to help them manage their finances.

Our business has grown so much since we started in 2002 that our parent company, Provident Financial, is now listed in the FTSE 100. We have achieved this by encouraging our employees to put ideas forward, make decisions and constantly improve the service we provide for our customers.

Due to the continued expansion of our Collections team, we are now looking for more driven individuals to join our debt purchase department known as Fresh Start.

Fresh Start predominantly focuses on purchased debt from Provident but 2016 has seen us compete for more purchases in the market place, leading the department to be recognised as one of Vanquis’ fastest growing initiatives.

As a Solutions Specialist, your job role will consist of negotiating and arranging payment plans for purchased debt through both inbound and outbound calls. You’ll be working to hit both performance and quality targets to ensure the delivery of key business objectives whilst ensuring you deliver positive customer outcomes.

All of our new specialists receive full training when they join us and enrol in an on-going training scheme thereafter, to ensure they are fully competent and ready to offer the best service to our customers as possible.

What are we looking for?

• Self-motivated individuals, able to make an immediate impact on our business by building rapport with customers and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Candidates who have achieved a Grade C and above in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
• Candidates with experience working in either a collections or call centre environment will be advantageous but this is not essential.
• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Strong negotiation and reasoning skills,
• You’ll thrive on working within a targeted environment and be able to pay close attention to detail and keep quality at the forefront of your mind at all times
• You’ll be self-motivated and able to work from your own initiative with a flexible attitude towards your work
• Excellent organisational skills
• A calm approach, and the ability work well at times of pressure

The team work shifts between the hours of 8am - 8pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 6pm on a Friday. You will also be required to work every other Saturday from 8am - 2pm and one Sunday a month from 10-2pm.
