We are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to become part of a busy avionics design team in a technically challenging and highly regulated environment. The successful applicant will report to the RDDS General Manager and will be responsible for the development and verification of FPGA aspects of avionic product design. This is a challenging and varied role and suitable for a flexible individual who is customer focussed and is able and willing to take full ownership of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• All aspects of DO254 FPGA Lifecycle
• Requirements capture and traceability from Customer requirements to detailed design
• Hierarchical decomposition of top level requirements into detailed design
• Writing VHDL test benches for full verification code coverage
• Generation of appropriate design documentation
• Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the defined/delegated package of work which include, Technical Solution, Budget and Schedule
• Involvement in peer reviews

Essential Requirements:
• Experience in all aspects of FPGA design lifecycle
• Experience in FPGA design for video processing
• Experience in use of PCI Express and Serdes high speed I/O interfaces
• Good understanding of Mentor Graphics Modelsim
• Experience of using Xilinx, Altera, Lattice products including their associated toolsets
• Excellent team working abilities
• Proven record of successful project delivery
• Good planning skills
• Organised approach
