Established in September 1980, Mercury Holidays has grown from small beginnings and has become one of the UK's leading holiday independent Tour Operators specialising in holidays, escorted tours and cruises to destinations the world over.

You will work in a fast paced, fluid environment and play a key role in promoting our customer facing websites.

Candidates must be able to work well independently and as part of a team where strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential. The role covers all aspects of digital marketing and a successful candidate will need a basic knowledge of all fields. Full training will be provided.

The Role includes...

Email Newsletter Production
Liaise with product departments to source offers. Design newsletter graphics with creative department. Construct, test and send emails in Emarsys. Ensure maximum open rates and CTR by accurately monitoring user behaviour and testing new creatives.

Reporting
Use DC Storm, iVector, Google Analytics and Excel to produce:
• Weekly Digital Equity Sales report
• Weekly Google PPC Equity Sales reporting
• Weekly Bing PPC Equity Sales reporting
• Weekly Online Booking Sales, Users and Conversion charts and graph

Google PPC and Bing PPC
Manage PPC accounts including:
• Creating new adgroups, ads, keywords and negative keywords
• Bid adjustments to ensure desired Average Position, Impression Share, CPC and ultimately that the target CPA is achieved.
• Regularly monitor search terms used to ensure the negative keyword list is updated and keywords are added to BMM and Exact match campaigns.

Retargetting Campaigns
Create and manage retargeting campaigns across the Web and Facebook via Criteo and Adroll networks. Work closely with creative departments, web team and Adroll/Criteo campaign managers to ensure we meet our CPA target.

Affiliates
Work with our affiliate network to increase brand awareness and sales via a mix of content, cashback and voucher affiliates. Track and report on sales to ensure CPA target is met.

Website Content Loading
Load and manage content for destinations, resorts, hotels, tours and the destination guide sections.

Website Testing
Carry out web testing when required by the development team.

Third Party newsletters
Source, contract and arrange content/offers for third party newsletters such as CheapFlights, DealChecker, etc.

Other activities
Plan, develop and implement joint marketing campaigns with Tourist Boards (and other potential third parties). Liaise with partners throughout the campaign as well as tracking spend and results.
Carry out ad-hoc analysis of booking trends and website performance to ensure we maximise conversion rates online.
Keep abreast of digital marketing trends, latest technologies and new marketing opportunities.

Blog & Destination Guides
Working with third-party content writers, source and produce regular blog and destination guide articles.
Upload onto website or Blog where necessary.
Promote via social media, email newsletters and other third party channels.

Social Media & Reputation Management
Ensure new content and offers are regularly posted on our social media channels.
Monitor channels and respond to customer’s questions, feedback and complaints.
Manage post trip feedback and questionnaires – upload to the website and ensure clients are contacted where necessary.
Monitor Feefo feedback and respond to customers accordingly.
