Position available immediately. 40 hrs per week, Days and Hours negotiable, 28 days holiday per year, great working environment in a friendly team.

Busy pub, restaurant and wedding venue overlooking the Swale Estuary encompassing restaurant, bar and superior accommodation for 40+. We are a successful family run business and use beef, lamb, and game of exceptional quality from our own farm. Between 40-150 covers daily, monthly events/functions, outside catering and over 70 weddings per year.
We were awarded Best Dining Pub in Kent 2014 and were awarded our first AA Rosette in September 2015.

Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and committed person to assist Head Gardener Jane Rudd to work in the kitchen garden and grounds of our award winning pub/restaurant/wedding venue. Our gardens currently consist of Public areas, family garden, wedding gardens - plus fully operational kitchen garden supplying our restaurant (From our raised beds, poly tunnel, green house, and orchard). We are aiming to have our kitchen gardens open to the public in the near future, and to win awards for our wedding garden, and kitchen garden too.

Candidate requirements
Some basic knowledge of gardening, plants and vegetables required, but training and tools will be provided.
You must enjoy working outdoors year round, and will need to be enthusiastic, hard working, self motivated, have good communication skills and be a team player.
A full driving licence and own transport is essential.

Salaries based on experience, always meet national minimum.

3% Pension plan available for permanent staff.
Standard Contracts are for agreed minimum weekly hours. Employees can take extra shifts if desired when available.
28 days a year holiday for full time, pro rata for part time.
