Job Outline
The electrical estimator role is fundamental in the electrical division business. Delivering a pre-construction bid as efficiently as possible, whilst ensuring any issues are identified/ dealt with as soon as possible. Your role contains all liaison with clients and answering all pre-construction questions from surveyors, pre-construction managers, construction directors etc. You will be expected to stay in line with the existing processes and procedures and where unsure consult the electrical divisions general manager. You will be expected to lead by example with a positive, can-do attitude.

Competences

Experience with complex electrical projects
Experience within the new build construction sector
Well-developed knowledge of BS 7671 and other safety requirements
Hands on computer skills (CAD experience a plus)
Exceptional experience in electrical estimating, particularly for power and low voltage wiring in new build apartment buildings.

Qualifications and experience required:

Excellent technical knowledge required
Experience using IT skills on all Microsoft packages, outlook word, excel and ideally computerised estimated software
Proven track record of tendering on major projects
Client documentation on completion of tender and post tender reports
Must be able to interpret preliminary and detailed electrical design drawings in order to formulate quotations and tenders
Be able to be self-efficient and work independently as well as being part of a team.
Have excellent client based communication skills when viewing projects to tender.

Good organisation, planning and time management skills.
