Instrumentation Engineer- Shift

We are currently looking to recruit a Instrumentation Engineer ideally with experience working in a manufacturing environment to come and join us on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our site wide engineering group maintaining a wide variety of equipment. Ideally we are looking for candidates that have at least 3 year’s post training experience.

Main Purpose of the Job
The role will see you work across a wide spectrum of plant carrying out; Maintenance, fault rectification, installation and commissioning of equipment, carrying out engineering improvement and de-commissioning of redundant equipment.
• Participate in the continual improvement of safety standards.
• Ensure that all tasks are performed safely, by employing Risk/Manual Handling and COSHH assessments.
• Participate in a culture of continual improvement in the standards of quality.
• Identify any training needs to enable the role to be performed at the required standard.
• Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient, robust and reliable maintenance is carried out on plant equipment.
• Installation and maintenance of hazardous area instrumentation systems.
• Installation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation systems.
• Fault diagnosis of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Fault diagnosis of chemical plant manufacturing equipment.

Skills / Competencies required
• HNC Is preferable and a working knowledge of Flame Proof areas.
• The role requires three years experience in a manufacturing environment and dealing with a wide range of operators and management styles.
• A positive attitude, which embraces change.
• Proactive and team-player
