Senior Vendor Manager

The group comprises a family of specialist businesses which are able to deliver everything the caterer needs, including their very successful own brand ranges developed specifically for chefs.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBLITITES

- Manage the key IT suppliers ensuring delivery of contracted services
- Ensure strong relationships are built enabling the business to leverage 'best service for best price' at all times.
- Manage spend against budget, whilst tracking actual spend to provide good financial control overall commercial performance.
- Understand the key cost drivers behind supplier invoices and review supplier invoices for accuracy (and approve / reject as appropriate) in order to ensure suppliers are billing accurately and in line with contract
- Drive supplier service delivery, cost reduction and performance improvement in order to maximise the value from supplier relationships over and above contractual commitments
- Manage supplier commercial issues and negotiate their settlement to avoid escalation.
- For key suppliers, manage SLAs and KPIs, reviewing information on those suppliers in monthly supplier dashboards in order to provide an holistic view of supplier performance
- Adhere to agreed supplier governance attending regular operational meetings and governance meetings to ensure any supplier relationship, delivery, quality or commercial issues are highlighted and resolved.

EXPERIENCE

- Strong contract negotiation where you have re-negotiated to achieve cost savings or improved service delivery
- Experience of creating tenders for new potential suppliers
- Able to analyse contracts and spend - implementing KPIs, Service Improvements and Cost savings
- Experience of creating tenders for new potential suppliers
- Able to analyse contracts and spend - implementing KPIs, Service Improvements and Cost savings
- You must have experience of working within / or managing outsource / managed services contracts, as well as an excellent understanding and experience of interacting with other ITIL processes such as Change and Problem Management
- At this level you will obviously be expected to demonstrate superb communication skills both verbally and written, along with the ability to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong commercial awareness alongside risk management
- Knowledge of contract law and IT Service Delivery Management (ITIL) preferred but not essential
