Support Worker (residential services)

Location: Sobell Lodge, High Street, Staplehurst, Kent, TN12 0BJ

Salary: £7.39 per hour plus 20%enhancement for night & weekend working (£8.87) (Subject to consultation)

Hours: Full time to include working within a rota, including weekends.
You must be able to work to the shift pattern 7.00am – 3.00pm, 1.30pm - 9.30pm and night shifts may be available for those interested 9.00pm - 7.30am.

Part time hours to include shorter shifts 7.00am – 11.00am and 4.30pm - 9.30pm including weekends

Sobell Lodge is a residential care home for 21 younger adults with a physical disability, and some with complex care needs.

You will be involved in supporting the people who use our service with all aspects of daily living including their physical care and personal hygiene needs, ensuring that their independence is preserved and developed as far as possible. Applicants will need the ability to work as part of a team, to work rota hours, maintain accurate records and be willing to undertake required training You may also escort the people who use our service to access services including recreational, educational and leisure facilities in the community. Being able to drive and prepared to drive the home’s minibuses, although not essential, would be desirable.

You must be able to communicate effectively and be able to create accurate written records.

Although it helps, you do not need previous experience to be on our team as full training can be provided.
