My client is a successful company that specialises in IT support and software development. Due to their continued expansion an opportunity has arisen for an experienced analyst developer to join the team.

We are not looking for an out and out developer, but a more rounded individual with the ability to design new solutions and improve existing ones as well as delve into code.

We estimate eventually the role will be split 60/40 between software development and the requirements / analysis, although there will be some support and testing involved. The candidate will spend an initial amount of time learning the industry we work in and our current offerings to it.

This role is office-based; travel will be required occasionally so use of a car will be required. Benefits include 28 days holiday.

As an analyst developer your role will include:
Liaising with customers to elicit requirements based on their business needs
Creating process documents and specifications to a high standard
Communicating to the development team the requirements, via written and verbal means
Carrying out software developments to a high standard and within time constraints.
Working with end customers and other business partners to resolve software support issues.
Documentation of existing systems and new developments
Designing and specifying new systems and alterations to existing systems.
Provide out-of-hours end-user remote support on a rota basis

You must have the following skills and attributes:
Knowledge of OO programming methodologies.
Programming skills (preferably in C# .NET)
Strong design skills
Proficiency using T-SQL in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ environment
In addition to the above, the following skills would be advantageous:
Exposure to Android development
Experience in testing software systems.
Ability to provide training to end users either remotely or in person.
Database design experience, preferably using SQL Server 2008+
JQuery, JavaScript or other scripting languages / frameworks
IIS / SQL Server configuration and maintenance
Winforms using C#
