Supply Teacher

Hays Education is recruiting for teachers to join our ever growing supply team. Due to increasing demand within East Kent we are looking for teachers who are interested in working as a supply teacher. With a successful start to the academic year we are looking to build on this and continue to work with some fantastic schools and their supply needs. We are working in partnership with a number of schools in Dover and Canterbury with Day to day supply.

The role does not require any planning and preparation and the lessons will have a cover plan is place but the schools and Hays Education will require you to keep the students engaged and to complete the work set during the lesson. This requires someone with a strong classroom presence. We are completely flexible and can work around your availability, whether it be full time, 2 days a week or the occasional day per month.

Safeguarding and Child protection is always a key part within school life, so as a supply teacher you may feel you miss out on the training and updated legislation's with regards to this. Hays, in conjunction with a number of LEA's and Schools, have built an online training course intended to address the subjects of Child Protection, Safeguarding, Roles and Responsibilities in school, E-safety and Anti-bullying.
The course, which is CPD certified is available free of charge for all teachers who are cleared by Hays Education.
