Our client, a charity based in Tunbridge Wells, is looking for a Year End Accountant to join their team on a 3 month contract - this maybe extended.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with extensive experience of using Sun Accounts, who can work with this charity, as a Year End Accountant for a three month period, beginning as soon as possible.

You will be working with a small and experienced finance team, but you must have the ability to work on your own initiative. You must have had prior experience of working on year end accounts and schedules at an appropriate level.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

Assisting the Director of Finance & Resources in preparing the 2016 statutory accounts.

Completing outstanding year end reconciliations and preparing schedules for relevant balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets and creating necessary files with supporting documentation.

Assist with preparation of income and expenditure and income schedules and breakdowns to assist with notes in the accounts.

Prepare and post the necessary 2016 adjusting or correcting entries in Sun Systems, once approved.

Reclassify data e.g: staff and administrative costs from abroad, and entities in the format necessary to facilitate consolidation.

Assist the Director of Finance & Resources in preparing the 2016 statutory accounts in compliance with the recent changes in the SORP and FRS102

The hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
