Due to continued success, growth and winning new business projects our client is actively seeking a Development Engineer - DFM to compliment and strengthen their existing team

Selective Catalytic Reduction - SCR



You will have/be:



* Engineering degree, or equivalent.

* Ability to develop and present technical presentations to internal team members.

* Personal strengths: Confidence, self-directed, customer focused, communication skills, results driven.



Preferred:



* 1 or more years' experience with precision product development (preferably automotive).

* Experience with developing and selecting the appropriate manufacturing and/or assembly method.

* Ability to develop and present technical presentations to customers and other teams.

* Diesel fuel systems and SCR exhaust after treatment experience.

* Ability to travel to supplier sites (Germany, France, others).

The role:

As a Development Engineer, you will perform analysis; write reports and present results associated with the development of a SCR urea dosing system for the automotive market. The role will contribute to all phases of the system development, from concept to production. The position will require balanced decision making and good analytical skills. They must be able to work with other members of the cross-functional project team responsible for overall project success. Reporting to the SCR Senior Development Engineer.



* Support industrialization of SCR doser, work with Manufacturing Engineering on process trials, act as a champion of product function, whilst ensuring quality systems are followed.
* Support Supplier Chain Management team and Quality team with supplier development and ensure bought in components meet functional requirements.
* Define performance criteria and demonstrate product performance to customer and internal requirements, analyse performance due to part to part variation and ensure design tolerance extremes meet product requirements.
* Define tolerance vs. product functionality and process capability tradeoffs and ensure that validation testing covers full range of part variations.
* Work within a multi-functional team to ensure solution meets technical specification, customer requirements and compatible with company Systems standards.
* Have strong focus on the quality and accuracy of your work, and ensure the delivery of robust results.
