Due to continued success, growth and winning new business projects our client is actively seeking a Development Engineer (Validation) to compliment and strengthen their existing team

Selective Catalytic Reduction - SCR



You will have/be:



* Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

* 1 or more years' experience with precision product development (preferably automotive).

* Ability to develop and present technical presentations to internal team members.

* Personal strengths: Confidence, self-directed, customer focused, communication skills, results driven.



Preferred:



* Ability to develop and present technical presentations to customers and other teams.

* Experience with test automation tools NI LabVIEW.

* Diesel fuel systems and SCR exhaust after treatment experience).

* Ability to travel to customer sites (Germany, France, others).

As a Development Engineer you will undertake test work, including developing test facilities where necessary, perform analysis; write reports and present results associated with the development and validation of a SCR urea dosing system for the automotive market. The role will contribute to all phases of the system development, from concept to production. The position will require balanced decision making and good analytical skills. You must be able to work with other members of the cross-functional project team responsible for overall project success. You will be reporting to the SCR Validation Leader.

Support validation of SCR doser and system. Become expert for an area of responsibility and support rest of validation testing.

Develop test facilities and where necessary liaise with external suppliers.
*

Develop test methods to determine and improve product reliability.
*

Develop statistical analysis of doser performance vs design life requirements.
*

Perform component analysis and teardown after test and feed results back to design and development teams.
*

Support DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) with data to show failure modes and improvements required.
*

Work within a multi-functional team to ensure solution meets technical specification, customer requirements and compatible with Delphi Diesel Systems' standards.
*

Have strong focus on the quality and accuracy of your work, and ensure the delivery of robust results.
