Steelworks Estimator

RSFL are now recruiting for an Experienced Steelworks Estimator for a market leading provider of structural steelwork, steel fabrications and architectural metalwork. Based in Swale East Kent and covering contracts throughout London and the South East.

As a result of ongoing expansion my client is looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and confident professional to join their estimating team.


All about the Role!

- Working alongside the existing team of 3 estimators to prepare tender bids and financial estimates ranging from £5,000 to £2 million.
- To analyse the content of tender specifications and drawings and use the information identified to build a costs schedule suitable for use as a formal tender bid.
- Coordinate the preparation of all supporting documentation required in the tender bid.
- Communicate with clients regarding the tender and to present the final submission to the client.
- To assist in the pre order negotiation process with the client.
- Value Engineering – to propose alternatives to specifications in order to reduce costs and / or improve quality and efficiency.

All About you!

- Detailed knowledge and experience of the technical elements of the architectural and structural steel fabrication and installation industry.
- At least 5 years experience of estimating within the above industry.
- Ability to undertake a reasonable level of technical and financial calculations.
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
- Excellent time management.

Benefits!

Highly competitive salary plus bonus, and pension. The position is based in Swale and there will be a need for visits to London and throughout the South East.
