We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Cashier with a background in professional services.
Main duties will include:
• Client deposits - Opening and closing accounts, processing withdrawals and
deposits, calculating and posting interest
• Payments and Receipts - Sending and receiving transfers and handling all
queries using the on-line banking system
• Performing bank reconciliations daily and monthly
• Checking and posting client bills and credit notes
• Dealing with queries
• Processing work in progress transfers and write offs
• Producing and following up monitoring reports (e.g. inactive accounts,
• residual balances, client-to-office transfers)
• Checking purchase ledger invoices
• Processing nominal ledger transactions, including fixed asset, prepayment
and accrual journals
• Assistance with project requirements, e.g. checking conversion data

The position has arisen due to a major systems project and will run for 18 months. It presents an excellent opportunity for a person with the relevant skills, including previous accounts / cashier experience within professional services and solid financial accounting experience across purchase and nominal ledgers.

The successful candidate should be capable of working accurately and quickly and adapting to new tasks and systems.

Hours: Full-time - 35 hrs per week
Holidays: 5 weeks plus bank holidays
