Scrum Master

This is a fantastic opportunity for and experienced SCRUM Master to join one of the UKs most successful Financial Services providers, housing some of the UK`s best loved brands.
We are looking for SCRUM Masters (or Senior DevOps Engineer / Leads) to be part of a new structure within the Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) department, offering what will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is driven by providing excellence.
The main purpose of the role is to lead, facilitate and support business product owners, analysts, architects, developers, engineers and other scrum teams in order to develop new solutions in tight timescales, working with cutting-edge mobile/digital technologies and working practices alongside internal teams and third party suppliers.
Responsibilities
-Guiding the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values, such as; Version Control, Collaboration, Issue/Task Management, Continuous Integration, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective and releases.
-Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization and ensuring Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adopted and adhered to.
-Applying Agile / Scrum techniques to virtual teams of in house, outsourced and offsite resources.
-Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Continually improving Agile / Scrum practices.
-Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
-Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
-Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and growing business trust in development.
-Ensuring appropriate governance / assurance for application development outputs / outcomes.
-Supporting and educating the Product Owner.
-Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
-Pro-actively demonstrate required behaviours in line with expectations of the role.
Skills & Experience required
-Extensive experience of working as a Senior DevOps Engineer / Lead within an enterprise scale environment
-Ability to lead a Scrum approach across the department
-Ability to interact and Influence team members to new agile Scrum approach
-Experience of a full development lifecycle
-Previously worked in a mixed internal / outsourced model, including Service/Contractual reviews.
