Our well-established client in Sittingbourne is looking for an IT Security Analyst on a 12-month contract, possibility for extension depending on the performance of the candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
• Overseeing, monitoring and reporting the implementation of new security standards on the industrial control system networks across the following manufacturing sites; Europe and Americas.
• Managing and supporting the vulnerability scanning of network routers/switches and Windows Service vulnerabilities by the specialist third-party security partner.
• Monitoring and supporting the remediation of vulnerabilities as prescribe by the third-party provider and sharing solutions amongst sites have the same problems.
• Managing the ‘Cyber Mailbox’ – a central mailbox on the system. This involves email dialogue with people around Europe/Americas to investigate where necessary any dangerous email attacks.
• Implementing a solution to manage the cyber mailbox more efficiently and provide quicker and more informative feedback to employees who have received suspicious emails.
• Keep up to date knowledge of new and emerging threats that can affect the organisation’s information assets and suggest procedures to minimise exposure to future incidents.
• Involvement in other security initiatives and duties that may arise.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
• Good general knowledge of business IT security practices gained from working within IT security roles at other large organisations.
• Strong relational database experience; SQL Server preferred, Reporting Services is an advantage.
• A strong theoretical knowledge of network technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, IPv4, WPNs, VLANs, ACLs, virtualisation, DMZs, DNS/DHCP/NTP services, wireless network security (WPA2).
• Experience is, or at least, exposure to critical IT within manufacturing or logistics processes or operations. Detailed knowledge of ICS is not essential but would be an advantage.
• Demonstrable experience in technical management and administration of Windows services within a large active directory environment.
• MCSE or MCSA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Effective prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to shift focus higher.
