The Bond Group is a leader in the manufacture, refurbishment, distribution and fitting of refrigeration cabinets to the UK retail section.

Established in 1976 and privately owned by the Management Team, we are looking for a responsible, reliable and flexible individual to join our team as a Shunter Driver/Factory Operative. You will be required to move commercial refrigerated cabinets between our Sheerness warehouses and loading vehicles using a Fork Lift Truck.

Main Duties will include:
Movement of stock between warehouse sites
Loading and unloading of vehicles
Basic vehicle care and husbandry

When driving duties are not required your secondary duties will be to the production team and you may be asked to perform reasonable duties within production. You will also be required on occasion to make off-yard deliveries, but this would not generally involve overnight journeys.

You will ideally have previous experience of operating in a driving role, experience of a shunting role would be ideal. You would need to hold a valid full Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and Digi Card and be prepared to undergo continuation training. You will also need to hold and maintain a licence to drive a Class 2 (18 tonne) vehicle and ideally a valid counterbalance FLT licence, although refresher training can be provided if necessary. You will also be required to maintain appropriate "fitness to drive" standards during annual health surveillance.

Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm. Opportunities for overtime are often available. Candidates will need to be flexible and willing to work flexibly to support business requirements.
