We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client an established manufacturing company based in Rochester.
You will report into the Finance Manager and will be assisting in maintaining financial and management accounting records for the business and assist in various business analytical work as required.
Key responsibilities:
• Purchase ledger
• Sales ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Petty cash
• Deal with queries from customers and suppliers
• Produce monthly management reports and statements
• Cash flow forecasting
• VAT returns
• Monthly accounts up to finalisation
• Produce sales reports and statistics
• Assist in the following business analysis; product profitability, promotion profitability and other analytical work as required
Experience, Skills and Knowledge required:
• Degree educated in a finance related subject
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA studying
• Accounts experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems
• Good communication skills at all levels both verbal and written
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
