My Client is in an exciting period of expansion and rebranding. The future is definitely good, and to enhance this they are now looking to recruit a Senior Building Technician / Engineer to provide a broad range of building engineering expertise, to maintain and improve existing buildings, infrastructure and other structures or facilities.

The Role: Senior Building Technician / Engineer

Expertise in managing building maintenance work from condition surveys
Undertake building inspections, produce designs to solve issues, procure the works and administer building contracts.
Produce detailed contract documentation, technical reports including statements of requirements, specifications for tenders, drawings and monthly project reports.
Planning, execution, and monitoring of minor works up to large building projects and planned maintenance programmes.
To act in the capacity of CDM Principal Designer when appointed by the Head of Development Projects
Liaise with architects, consultants and quantity surveyors
Planning and delivery or acceptance of capital assets
Problem solving; condition surveys, inspections, detecting and analysing underlying problems and taking long term corrective actions and fault finding.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Senior Building Technician / Engineer

HNC or HND in an appropriate building, construction discipline.
SMSTS
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Condition surveys and assessments
Building engineering and design
CSCS Card
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
Good knowledge of Building Regulations
Site supervision with particular regard to specification compliance, quality and health & safety.
Project Management
Mechanical and electrical working knowledge
Asbestos management
Current driving licence and use of car
