12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are Holiday Extras Shortbreaks (part of the Holiday Extras Group, established for over 30 years); we work with the UK’s biggest theme parks, attractions and West End shows helping over half a million customers a year to make their free time count. An innovative and entrepreneurial travel-tech business we are proud to run like a startup (even after 10 years of success) and are rated as a Sunday Times Top 100 Company to work for.

The Role

We are looking for a forward thinking, proactive and multi-disciplined Project Manager to join our Web Delivery team for a minimum of 1 year. You will need to be experienced in working with a variety of project methodologies and excited to have the opportunity to be part of an innovative team of Back End Developers, Front End Developers and QAs. You will also be part of our Management team so you will need to be comfortable with having a mixed discipline team that you can help guide to success.

You will have a proven track record in managing projects through the full project life-cycle using all or any of the following: Agile, Prince2, Lean, Kanban. Our goal is to maintain continuous integration of all our systems and websites and therefore agility for change is a must in this role. We have moved away from big bang launches as we are a fast paced business that needs to achieve project benefits at the soonest opportunity, therefore you will need to be happy to challenge our teams on delivery times for projects.

At Holiday Extras Shortbreaks we work very closely with our partners to ensure we continuously optimise the websites to make the most of our partnership. These can be some of the most exciting and demanding projects but also the most rewarding; it is therefore essential that you are a strong communicator who is able to keep our partners Key Stakeholder up to date with regular project reports and status updates. You may also be required to attend the occasional external meeting with our Directors to help collate vital project information and detail the project processes with our partners.

Who we are looking for...

- An experienced Project Manager who is resilient to project pressures and has a never ending energy to drive their team to success
- Someone with the ability to fail fast, change direction quickly to gain positive outcomes and build future successes from lessons learned
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with all team members including the CEO, Directors, Key Stakeholders and your team
- Excellent project presentation skills and the ability to present business opportunity to your team to get full project buy in
- A strong interest in the project outcome, using an analytical approach to data gathered and presenting this information back to the business during meetings
- The ability to invigorate your team at your daily project stand ups / scrums and immediately deal with any issues they may have within their projects
- An experienced people manager who is driven to bring the best out of their team and who understands the importance of putting people first by providing them with monthly one to one sessions and 6 monthly performance reviews
- Someone that is self driven with a positive attitude and who is constantly driving their personal developments forward
- Someone that enjoys the challenges of working with multi-disciplined teams and who is able to bring their team together to get the best results from them. As part of the Shortbreaks Web team you will be working closely with the full business (this includes Marketing, Partnerships, Commercial, Call Centre teams, Finance and our external partners) to ensure your projects flow continuously with little disruption

If you love project management and are passionate about building the best teams and experimenting with different methodologies then we’re looking for you!
