A Chef/Cook is required for Hartley Country Club, Hartley, Kent.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills to get involved in a demanding kitchen, producing a good standard of food for club members and visiting sports teams as well as for functions.

You should be a team person with good people skills, confident and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for working in the hospitality business.

You should be able to multi task to a highly efficient standard, to be able to communicate with members and staff at all levels.

Vital to the position is the ability to maintain professional standards for a clean and healthy workplace and the ability to prepare and provide well presented meals to order.

Previous cooking experience within a busy kitchen environment is essential, you will be expected to work unsupervised much of the time and support and manage kitchen assistants.

This is a full time position although part time may be considered. The club is open 7 days a week for lunch and evening meals so you will be working a split shift rota and therefore the position may be more suited to a local person. Salary is subject to experience.

Hartley Country Club is a private members club with approximately 900 members, it has a large social membership as well as sports members playing cricket, tennis, bowls, squash, petanque, snooker and table tennis, which means there are a large numbers of visiting teams.
