Job Title: E-Commerce Buying & Merchandising Assistant
Department: E-Commerce Buying Team
Reporting to: Online Buyer & Merchandiser
Key Objective
Assisting the Online Buyer & Merchandiser in maximising sales whilst improving the flow of stock through the business. This will be achieved in this role through a number of key focuses including, but not exclusive to:
• Online listing maintenance
• Setting up new listings
• Price management & analysis
• Ordering of stock, under guidance
You will form an integral part of the E-Commerce Team by effectively and systematically providing accurate information for product set up, pricing and product listings. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in online retailing, ability to work at a high pace to meet deadlines and a passion to develop their skills. Whilst this is an admin heavy role and a great opportunity to gain fantastic experience in online retailing, it is important that you are creative and have a keen eye for detail.
We will also need you to pitch in with Customer Service during peak times, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable delivering exceptional customer service.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist the Online Buyer & Merchandiser with all task as requested for example: updating and maintaining online listings, liaising with our online partners to resolve issues, raising orders as provided to you, managing reconciliations of deliveries.
• Accurate set up and maintenance of all required records for products on our system.
• Database administration
• Working closely with distribution team to ensure effective movement of stock through the business and placing orders when directed to do so.
• Create category SKUs and maintain data integrity in line with targets set.
• Other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested
Essential Skills & Experience
• A keen eye for detail and a well-organised approach
• A pro-active ‘hands on’ attitude with an energetic and common sense outlook
• Good problem solver with strong IT skills such as Excel
• Commercial awareness with a keen interest in online retailing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skill
• Strong collaboration skills and keen team spirit
• An ability to work within a seasonally driven environment and prioritize workload accordingly
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
