Warehouse Manager
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our fast paced and ever growing team. Reporting to the Group Materials Planning and Logistics Manager, you will hold full responsibility for managing the day to day operations of the Group’s warehouse facilities which includes KPI target setting, resource management, maintaining Health and Safety standards, ensuring accurate stock figures and setting a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• To ensure the team operate within the company’s agreed policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• To work closely with the Key Customer Shipping Manager, the Goods-In and Returns functions to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
• Effectively manage, mentor and train the team of 6 warehouse operatives as required
• Ensure performance management requirements such as
probation reviews and performance appraisals are carried out
effectively and on time.
• Ensure staff cover is sufficient at all times to account for holiday
and sickness
• Investigate customer complaints related to warehouse activity
• Ensure orders are picked accurately
• Ensure shipments are prioritised as per the agreed hierarchy.
• Ensure product is kitted correctly and according to the needs of
the order or the stock controller.
• Develop systems to streamline operations
• Manage the couriers to provide an effective service to the
business
The ideal post holder will be a practical, methodical and experienced warehouse manager, who leads, motivates and develops a team. Ideally you will have a good standard of education with an NVQ II in Warehouse and Distribution and Forklift Truck Licence. A higher qualification such as a BTECH would be desirable but not essential for this role. You must be computer literate and be competent in producing reports on excel.
You must be confident in setting daily work schedules, be able to plan and control the distribution of Brigade’s products while ensuring standards are constantly met.
We would expect the right individual to display the following core competencies within this position:

• Planning and Organising
• Coping with Pressure
• Writing and Reporting
• Analysing
• Meeting Customer Expectations
Hours of work are 8:30am till 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work some overtime and on the odd weekend when stock takes are required.
You will receive a competitive salary and a generous discretional bonus scheme, pension, 25 days holiday.
