The Role
To implement warehouse plans for the Warehouse operation to meet current/future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in line with the Distribution Centre goals.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Day to day management and planning of the shift operation, ensuring DC standards and targets are met.
- Input to Warehouse Cost Budgets
- Staff Recruitment/Retention - recruit, train and develop direct reports
- Staff Training & Development Plans - implement Distribution Centre succession plan
- Health & Safety and Legal obligations - adherence to Company policies and procedures & ensure Group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to
- Customer Service
- Communication Cascade (two-way)
- Distribution Centre Security
- Input into and implementation of Operational strategy in line with
- Distribution Centre goals
- Control of fixed assets
- Stock integrity
The Person
- Customer Centric People Management
- Unyielding Integrity Project Management
- People Oriented Warehouse Management
- Leadership Driven Performance Management
- Performance Based
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Essential:
- 2 years supervisory experience within a warehouse operation
- Man management, commercial, analytical and communication skills
- Change manager
Desirable:
- Educated to HND and/or 3 years experience
- PC and systems literate
