Carlton Recruitment are excited to present this new opportunity within an established business in the Sittingbourne area.
A leader in its field within it's industry is currently seeking to appoint a suitable candidate in a newly created role within a warehouse setting.
JOB PURPOSE
To manage the receipt and inspection of all inbound deliveries; ensuring that goods meet our specified quality requirements, that paperwork matches the delivery and that goods are receipted in a timely manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Inspection of goods received to ensure that all products are compliant with Delivery Notes and quality specification.
• Conduct physical and dimensional checks of individual component to technical drawings in accordance with work instructions and Company procedures.
• Confirm material certification is compliant to the purchase order and specified requirements.
• Assign material traceability / barcode identification to inbound goods.
• Received materials in a safe and logical manner consistent with established procedures.
• Ensure that goods are booked onto our in-house ERP system in a timely manner.
• Ensure that goods are stored logically by client / project group, in order to facilitate efficient picking of orders.
• Issue parts to internal departments as required.
• Create reports detailing non-conformances and follow up with project managers to ensure closure of open issues and quality claims.
• Monthly reporting via a QC tracking document.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience of Quality Inspection – ideally from a related industry, with some knowledge of metalwork, joinery or plastic mouldings.
• Must hold a Fork Lift Truck Licence or be prepared to be trained.
• Must have the ability to read and assess technical drawings.
• Must be precise and accurate in working methods; with good attention to detail.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
You must have previous experience in a Quality Control role within a factory setting. Excellent communication skills are required and a strong focus on time management and attention to detail.
