Obart Pumps Ltd is a very successful and well established importer and UK distributor of electric and engine driven water pumps.

We have a full-time vacancy for a combined job in our workshop and warehouse as a beginning to a genuine career path within this department, our organisation and industry. We have a proven track record of creating careers.

Some experience is an advantage with electrics and engines - maybe that gained from a hobby, as an engineer’s assistant or completing an apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will have the desire to learn about our company, products and systems, to want responsibility, develop and earn more money with us. Training and mentoring will be provided.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Testing, checking and maintenance of electric and engine driven products.
Fitting of accessories to, and PAT testing of, products in the workshop.
Loading and unloading goods.
Checking of goods inwards for quantity and condition.
Moving goods within the warehouse and workshop (manually and mechanically).
Allocating stock within the warehouse.
Picking and packing of product for dispatch.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong organisational skills and have an attention to detail.
Be able to act on their own initiative, be self-starting and be motivated.
Be kind, helpful, enthusiastic and engaging.
Hard-working, be a team player and have a “can-do” attitude.
Be able to adhere to health and safety rules.
A clean driving licence (not essential, but an advantage)

Pay: £7.20 to £9.05 per hour, depending on age and experience.

Pay package includes workwear (shirts or blouses), workplace pension, 25 days paid holiday plus statutory holidays.

All respondents must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Working hours: 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
