Austen Allen Homecare is an expanding quality community care organisation, seeking individuals who wish to progress within their career.

We are looking for an assistant coordinator who is keen to work in a fast-paced but friendly environment within the health and social care industry. You will be required to work 35 hours a week between the hours of 9:00 – 17:00.

As assistant Coordinator, you will be based at our office in Dartford town centre. Your role is to assist the coordinators with putting together weekly schedules for the care staff, communicating with staff as well as clients, hospitals, doctors, district nurses and social services on a daily basis.

You will also be required to identify areas of capacity to search for new care packages. The position requires a great deal of flexibility as you will be expected to cover care calls at weekends, where necessary as working out in the community will also be part of your job role.

You will be expected to do the following within your role:

• To support/assist coordinator.
• Ensure that client care calls are covered by home carers.
• Allocate work to staff.
• Answer incoming calls from carers and clients.
• To implementation new care packages.
• To deal with client requests and any complaints that may arise.
• Undertake care duties if required.
• To participate in the company’s goals and targets.
• To remain professional and be aware of Health & Safety responsibilities.
• To support coordinator with meetings as required.
• To continually improve professional development

Requirements:

• Experience in community care.
• Have a good understanding of the use of basic computer programs. • Positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Clean driving licence.
