HCL Nursing is looking for Paediatric nurses that are available to work flexible shift patterns in London. This is a perfect role for a qualified Paediatric Nurse to work in a prominent London NHS Hospital within a travelling distance.

Specific Requirements
To be considered for this role you will be required to meet the following
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a UK Hospital
- NMC Registered
- Valid DBS check
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Emotional resilience in dealing with patients under difficult circumstances
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing, observing and reporting on the condition of young patients
- Setting up drips and blood transfusions
- Recording pulse, temperature and respiration and keeping accurate records of these observations
- Responding quickly to emergencies
- Explaining treatment and procedures to enable parents/carers to consent to treatment
Skills
- Respect, Empathy and sensitivity when dealing with patients and their families
- Communication skills, for listening to patients and explaining treatment plans
- The ability to work independently, particularly when based in the community
- Observational skills
- Flexibility to deal with a range of patients at one
- Team working skills, especially for hospital based work
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage your time and workload effectively
- Emotional resilience and stamina to deal with patients under difficult circumstances
