The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys liaising with colleagues at all levels and from a range of departments, and thrives on helping others to achieve their goals. The role does not involve carrying out any technical work, but this function is responsible for risk assessing and scheduling a wide range of new and changed IT services without disruption to business systems, so a candidate with an IT background who can advise other team members on technical matters is sought.

What does the role involve?

As part of a team of 8, you will specialise in Change Management, carrying out analysis, risk assessment and scheduling, production of MI, participating in Change Board meetings and ensuring appropriate levels of communication throughout the Change process. You'll maintain accurate and up to date records, keeping in mind audit measures and regulatory obligations, and participate in Continual Service Improvement activities in line with ITIL recommendations to ensure the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the Change Management function.

You will be required to work flexibly within the team, so you will also become involved in other areas of Service Transition such as IT Delivery Planning, Service Validation and Testing and Configuration and Asset Management.

What skills and behaviours do I need?

A technical IT background, for example in Service Desk, Technical Business Analysis or an Infrastructure role.
You need to be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience of a fast paced and frequently changing working environment is important.
You'll have the ability to prioritise and produce high quality work under the pressure of deadlines.
You will be confident to ask questions, escalate issues and make suggestions.
You need strong analytical skills which enable you to make balanced and logical decisions, particularly relating to risk.
You will be competent using Microsoft Office.
An awareness of ITIL is essential, ideally with an ITIL foundation qualification.

Flexibility required. Occasional travel to London office and out of hours work may be necessary (by prior arrangement).
