South East Water supplies drinking water to 2.1 million customers across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Daily, we supply 565 million litres of drinking water along more than 14,000 kilometres of mains to our customers’ taps.

We are currently recruiting for a Quality, Process & Training Specialist to join the Business Retail Support Team based in Snodland. The purpose of the role is to evaluate, identify, map and recommend improvements to the existing processes.

Responsibilities include:

• To review existing processes used to identify and implement improvements to efficiency to ensure we resolve customer problems first time.
• To review existing processes and ensure that processes are compliant. To utilise MI mechanisms to ensure that there is continuous innovation and create improvements in the effectiveness of our contact handling.
• To work with team members, ensuring all levels are involved and supported throughout the improvement process
• To ensure that all work carried out complies with the regulatory and industry standards.
• Build relationships internally within the team and across the wider business areas by involving all staff in the end to end process reviews and agreement of improvement measures.
• Build and deliver training for new starters and existing employees.
• Extensive experience of leading complaint handling root cause analysis, designing and rolling out new operational policies based on this analysis.
• A good knowledge of systems including HiAffinity, NEET, Knowledge Worker.
• Development and maintenance of the Quality Management system to provide robust and auditable reporting mechanisms to support performance and to undertake Quality checks on processes and procedures.

The successful candidate will be:
• A proven team worker and relationship builder with good written communication skills
• Target driven, self-disciplined and able to use their own initiative
• Articulate, computer literate with spreadsheet skills
• Confident and well organised
• A quick learner with proven knowledge/expertise of billing systems and system maintenance
• Ability to pro-actively identify and analyse system requirements.
• MS office skills with Business Objects preferred.

You must have previous office-based experience, and a proven ability to fulfil this role. Knowledge of the Water Industry and billing systems will be an advantage. This is an opportunity to work within the Business Retail team, with training and future career opportunities for the right candidate.
