A great opportunity has arisen to join the Banking and Reconciliation department with our client in the Tonbridge area. This role controls and administers the outgoing payment process for products. It involves the amendment of the payment runs and the issuing of manual and automated payments. The role involves close liaison with many departments as well as a number of external contacts. Accuracy and a methodical approach are essential, as the successful applicant will be required to process a large number of payments, often high value, throughout the day meeting deadlines dictated by market convention.
Key Responsibilities
Onshore Payments
• Controlling and administering outgoing payments for the UK products
• Issuing of automatic and manual payments.
• Liaison with internal departments as well as Third Parties
• Processing while keeping in mind deadlines dictated by market convention
Offshore Payments
• Controlling outgoing payments.
• Processing payment runs
• Issuing of manual and automated payments by electronic transfer and cheque.
• Liaison with internal departments as well a Third Parties
Skills Required
Essential Skills Required:
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with good PC skills especially Microsoft office e.g. Excel, Word.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to process within set deadlines
• Good numerical skills
• Team player with a flexible approach
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to analyse problems and follow through logically to a conclusion / resolution
• Knowledge of AS400 and Xtrac would be an advantage
