Life feels better when YOU make the decisions…!
Vanquis Bank specialise in providing credit cards to the non-standard credit market.
Our business has grown so much since we started in 2002 that our parent company, Provident Financial, is now listed in the FTSE 100. We have achieved this success by encouraging our employees to put ideas forward, make decisions for themselves and take large leaps toward the end goal of constantly improving the service we provide for our customers.
The collections department at Vanquis Bank takes a refreshing approach by focusing on rehabilitation and by suggesting options and solutions designed to help our customers.
Delivering Contact Strategy and Resource Planning services across the Collections teams you’ll be key to ensuring that we get the best out of the interactions we have with our customers. Taking responsibility for identifying contact strategy improvements you’ll play an important part in the success of the Collections team and the development of their overall strategy, all the time ensuring that we adhere to current legal and regulatory requirements. You will also manage the capacity plans, forecasting and workforce management strategies.
As well as this you’ll also be managing a small team of specialists, supporting and facilitating their development.
What we’re looking for and what you can expect:
• We want someone who has experience working within an analytical role in Financial Services
• You’ll have advanced SAS/SQL experience
• You’ll use your analytical thinking to see the bigger picture and have influence over tasks and decisions
• As a results focussed individual you’ll have an opportunity to take on challenging objectives and have a real input into the success of the department
• Using your excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), you’ll be able to build strong working relationships across the business at all levels
• Problem solving and the ability to make decisions will be important as you’ll be taking ownership of issues, seeing them through to resolution
• As a people manager, some previous experience of supporting and coaching members of staff will be useful

Please note: Once the closing date has been reached we will review all CVs. Should we wish to progress your application we will contact you within four weeks of the closing date. If you do not hear from us within four weeks of the closing date, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful.
On occasion we identify alternative roles that may be suitable for applicants and therefore we may retain your CV for up to 6 months for this purpose. If you do not wish us to contact you or hold your CV on file for 6 months please contact us.
