We are currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic team player to work with us as Crechè Supervisor at our community based leisure centre in Edenbridge.

Your key duties will include ensuring the day to day operation of the Crèche and the safe supervision of all users. You will have experience of working in a child care facility and NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or an equivalent qualification. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate with adults and children as well as working on your own initiative and as part of a team. JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF POST: Crèche Supervisor
RESPONSIBLE TO: Centre Management Team

Purpose of Post:
To ensure the effective day to day operation of the crèche and the safe supervision of all users.

Key Activities:

To be responsible for running the crèche and crèche sessions the security of the premises and equipment and user’s personal belongings.

To supervise users of the facility and ensure their safety at all times.

To ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times.

To ensure operational procedures are followed and records of users are kept as required.

To liaise with the Centre Management Team and assist with the promotion of the activity programme.

To ensure the delivery of a friendly and customer orientated service at all times.

To participate in any relevant training for the duties of this post and to achieve the key objectives of Sevenoaks Leisure Limited.

To participate fully in Sevenoaks Leisure Limited’s staff appraisal scheme.

To comply with standard employee Health & Safety at Work responsibilities.

To comply with Sevenoaks Leisure Limited’s Equal Opportunities policy.

To be willing to undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
 Experience of working in a child care facility
 NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)
 Good general level of education
 First Aid Certificate
 Good interpersonal skills
 Ability to communicate well to adults and children
 Ability to work within set procedures
 Ability to respond flexibly and creatively to the needs of the
children
 Experience of supervising staff
 Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Desirable
 Experience and understanding of Health and Safety at Work

Regulations
 Knowledge of the Children's Protection Policy
 Experience of working in the leisure industry
