Driver Assessor

Location: Ridham

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Full time, 42.5 hours per week, 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Driver Assessor to monitor and improve the performance of their drivers.

The main aim of this role is to ultimately ensure our client's drivers have the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude to conduct their duties legally, safely and competently.

The role requires an individual who has strong communication skills and the ability to undertake driving assessments, complete audits on agreed driver performance and support the essential operational links between the Driver and the rest of the Fleet Compliance team.

You will be working predominantly on the day shift but flexibility will be required to work across different working patterns to mirror their drivers’ shifts. You will also be expected to travel to their other sites to conduct your duties.

Essential skills required:

C+E LGV licence and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum of 3 years driving experience (for CPC training)
Full and demonstrable understanding of Tachograph Rules and Regulations and Mobile Workers Regulations
Full and demonstrable understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive
Previous experience of assessing drivers and driving styles
Proficient and demonstrable Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational and presentation skills
A professional approach displaying credibility and good judgement
Advance Driving Instructor, FTA Driver Assessor certificate or similar desirable.
