Cloud / Data Centre Engineer - London - £55,000 - £60,000
A leading cloud specialist are looking for a Cloud / Data Centre Engineer who can demonstrate solid data centre platform experience to join their Infrastructure team to use your expertise in Infrastructure domains, including data centers, networks, storage, servers and service monitoring.
You will be required to provide strategic technical advisory solutions for cloud management platforms and complete infrastructure solutions for FTSE 250 clients that include Banking and Insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working as part of an established team to build and maintain the right cloud infrastructure architecture, balancing performance and resilience with cost.
• Building and maintaining a set of tools that enable developers to self-serve for most operational tasks
• Defining, and maintaining a configuration management system
Skills:
• Networking – Cisco DHCP DNS TCP/IP
• Storage – SAN’s
• Servers – Windows 2012R2, 2008
• Hypervisors
• Active Directory – Forests, Group Policy
• Ideally Azure or AWS
• Data-centre to Cloud migrations
• VmWare
• PowerShell or C# scripting
• Netapp
• Knowledge of building scalable infrastructure
• Strong written verbal and communication skills
