Financial Controller
Background:
Founded in October 2008, ERSG is a leading recruitment consultancy operating in the worldwide energy sector. ERSG is forecasting continued expansion having opened offices in the USA, Germany and The Netherlands during 2016, forecasting £60m plus turnover for 2016/17.
ERSG finished 13th in The Virgin Sunday Times Fast Track of the UK’s 100 fastest growing companies by sales growth in 2013. Our head office is based in Bromley, a 2 minute walk from Bromley South train station, accessible in less than 20 minutes from London, in excellent modern offices near a busy shopping centre.
Job Purpose:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing organisation reporting to the Group Finance Director and also having direct contact on occasions with the Managing Director and Senior Management team of the organisation.
In conjunction with the Group Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the end to end accounting process and helping develop enhanced accounting processes (including systems) to support, not only the current business levels, but a future-proof system which supports the growth to come.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Management and development of the Finance Function.
• Compilation of monthly Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts to Trial Balance.
• Preparation of relevant financial management information as required.
• Supporting Managing Director with actual v budget forecasting.
• Weekly cash flow reporting and prediction of future trends.
• Manage the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Credit Control functions.
• Implement a purchase order process with suppliers.
• Keep on top of changes in regulation and legislation and new industry developments.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction.
• Ensure that all transactional, payroll and VAT/ CIS taxation requirements are met.
• Ad hoc finance projects as required.
Personal Competencies:
Solid working knowledge of Sage 200 is essential, ideally with experience of the upgrade and implementation process from another accounting system to Sage 200.
Proven accounting experience.
Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations.
Strong managerial skills.
Ability to report to Group Finance Director and Senior Management team.
Qualifications:
Part qualified ACCA, or CIMA
