Salary: £18,720.00 /year pro rata, per annum (plus enhancements)
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services is a registered charity that has been established for 25 years and has seen exceptional growth within the past few years. We are based in Northfleet, supporting people with dementia and their carers in the Gravesend, Dartford, Swanley areas.
We are currently recruiting for 2x Senior Care Assistant that will assist with the development of Support At Home plus, our CQC registered domiciliary care service. The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for ensuring a high quality service is provided, focusing on continuity and person centered care.
Working 35 hours per week, over 7 days including some nights and weekends on rota, our Senior Care Assistants will be required to carry out a number of important roles, some of which are listed below.
• Drafting Care Plans and ensuring that they are fit for purpose prior to sign off by our Registered Manager
• Client reviews
• Assist creating Rotas and work patterns for our carers,
• Maintain the ‘out of hours’ emergency line on a rota basis with other members of the team.
• Manage a small team of carers and caring professionals
• Meet CQC to the highest possible standards
The Senior Carer MUST have:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in care and caring for adults and the elderly; ideally some experience in domiciliary care and with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
• Full drivers licence and own car
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Professional, dynamic and proactive
• A genuine interest in those living with dementia, plus patience and empathy in abundance.
Confirmation of all appointments is subject to proof of Eligibility to Work in the UK, satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance, satisfactory references and medical clearance.
