Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper who is flexible and can look after their accounts as well as company administration.
This role is for a construction company and therefore the ideal candidate will have knowledge of this sector and be able to be flexible about getting involved in non-finance tasks if necessary.
The ideal candidate will also be working in sole capacity and will therefore need to be experienced and comfortable in looking after the accounts function on their own.
Reporting to and working with company Directors this role would suit an enthusiastic and capable person with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills allied to a proven track record in successfully working in a busy and often reactive office environment.
Duties:
- Maintaining accounts for numerous suppliers
- Monthly bill payments
- Monthly customer reconciliations
- Completing accounts for contract month end figures
- Journals and finance entries
- Regular reporting of turnover and cash flow
- Bank reconciliations
- Filing of UK Vat returns
- Monthly Payroll
- Ensure all Legal statutory returns are completed at year end for Company
- CIS including monthly HMRC returns
- WIP
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 Years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience to Trial Balance
- Good knowledge of Sage 200 and SAGE construct
- Good working knowledge of Payroll
- Experience with word, excel and outlook
- Flexible, adaptable, organised and pro-active
- Comfortable with new challenges and comfortable looking for solutions themselves
- Excellent communication skills and ability to integrate well into a team environment
Good working knowledge of Sage 200, construction and payroll along with word, excel and outlook are essential.
This is a Part time position, the office hours are 9.00-17.00 Monday to Friday but the position hours are negotiable. Ideally 3 days of office hours or 4/5 days of shorter hours e.g. 9.00-15.00.
Remuneration: £22,000 - £28,000 pro rata depending on experience.
