M4S is a parent driven charity based in Maidstone that supports families who have children with disabilities and/or additional educational needs. In partnership with three other charities (Includes Us 2, Parents Consortium and 4Us2) we cover the whole of Kent and provide support, advice, information and activities for families.
We have two vacancies for Family Support Workers; one to work with families in West Kent and one to work with families in Maidstone and Ashford. We will be working in partnership with Ashford based Includes Us 2 to deliver the work in Ashford. We are flexible regarding hours worked, we will discuss the options available at interview, but have a maximum of 34 hours to offer the suitable candidate/s.
The role involves one to one and group work with families; focusing on early intervention to ensure that parent carers of disabled children are supported and empowered through information, advice, emotional & practical support responsive to their holistic needs.
The post holders will require a full driving licence and access to a car; because this is an outreach role.
