Watkins is a family owned company operating for over 50 years providing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services in London and SE England with a £35M annual turnover. We are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team.
Job Description:
Based at our head office in Ramsgate Kent, you will work within our busy finance team. Your primary role will be implementing company procedure for the purchase ledger invoices. This procedure includes registering, coding, authorisation and processing onto our Sage system. Hours of work are 8.30 – 5pm.
Requirements:
- You will be computer literate and would be familiar with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Our accounts are run on Sage 1000, so knowledge of Sage would be advantageous.
- You will have had at least a year’s experience working in an accounts office environment, and preferably in purchase ledger.
- A team player, you will be able to work closely with your finance colleagues providing a professional service to both external and internal customers.
The individual:
- You will be numerate with an attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative.
- You will have good communication skills, and be confident in talking to a wide range of people including staff and suppliers.
- Since the role is highly administrative, you will have a structured, efficient and organised approach to work.
- A self-motivated, focused individual with a positive attitude towards their tasks and duties.
