Kent Community Foundation is a dynamic, organisation supporting charities and social enterprises in Kent and Medway. We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Development Officer to support the team in securing high-value funds, building relationships with existing Fund-holders and promoting the work of the Foundation to a broad network of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include researching prospects, working on the Foundation’s strategy to secure new funds and hands-on events management – so you will have strong writing and communication skills. As well as researching and planning approaches to potential major donors, you will help the team to extend our message to professional advisors. This is a varied role, which will require you to communicate with people at all levels and have a keen eye for new opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have either sales or fundraising experience with a proven track record of success in one of these areas. Previous experience in the charity sector is not essential, but you will have an appetite to learn more about major donor cultivation and be excited to make a positive and proactive contribution to the Foundation.
